Lidded Oxford Storage Basket

This lidded Oxford storage basket is a bathroom tissue and toilet roll box in Oxford fabric, keeping spare rolls dust-free and out of sight beside the toilet. Spare toilet rolls have nowhere dignified to live. Stacked on a cistern they fall off; in a cupboard they are useless at the moment they are needed. This lidded basket sits beside the toilet holding a proper reserve, keeps it dust-free and out of sight, and looks like a deliberate object rather than a plastic tub.

The flip-top lid is what makes it work in a bathroom. Contents stay protected from dust and the damp that comes with a shower running twice a day, but access is one-handed from a seated position, which is the only ergonomic requirement that actually matters here. It also suits towels, cleaning supplies or laundry in a bedroom. A soft-sided basket also suits a bathroom better than a hard one, because it takes a knock from a knee or a door without chipping tile or marking a painted wall.

It is made from 600D Oxford fabric — the weight used for bags rather than the thin lining fabric many storage boxes use — in a boho style that suits a contemporary bathroom. Available in ivory, blue, pink, red, light gray and black. Spot clean and air dry.
